Ron believes that we have the right to know if the food we are purchasing has any GMO content, just like we have the right to know if there are any potentially harmful chemicals in our diet. Therefore, food labels should identify whether GMO content is present. Until we reach this goal, however, we should encourage non-GMO producers to label their products as such. If GMO farms feel their products are safe to consume, then they have the burden of providing us with relevant data in order to convince consumers.
